What a terrific place!! I have never been made to feel so welcome in someone's home. Joan and Bob took such great care of us...the awesome "skip lunch" breakfasts before our hiking were delicious and cheerfully served (and consumed:) Coming back in the afternoon to enjoy an Old Dominion lager in the pub was something I looked forward to every day. I cannot recommend this B&B enough. Bob and Joan were the most hospitable hosts we have ever encountered. It was almost as if they were our long lost grandparents. We had such an incredible stay. The house has such a cozy and unique feel to it. Our room, Julia's room, had the largest and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Bravo! I just wish we had been there for longer. We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. It is a beautiful place and Bob and Joan were the best hosts ever. We were even there for St. Patricks day and they invited us to their party. It is very accomidating no matter what your life style is. Instead of offering us wine, we were offered sparkling grape juice as we do not drink. They are very attentive to the needs of their guests. If you want to have a great time, come here! |

We have stayed here twice and on both occasions have been made very welcome. The hospitality is second to none, the breakfast is a gastronomic treat and the whole ambiance of the place is wonderful. This has to be the best B&B in the Shenandoah Valley! And if you are really hungry try Dean's Steak House just down the road - the sirloin for two is an experience! We will be back! |

We had a beautiful time. Joan and Bob are amazingly generous hosts and made us feel truly at home. Our suite was charming, as were all of the interesting spaces throughout the house. The breakfast was outstanding and included multiple courses with a variety of fruits, breads, cereals, and grilled entrees (we had a cheese omlette and perhaps the best french toast I've ever had.
